    Mr. and Mrs. Charles Walker of Brooklet, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. John White of Nevils, Ga., are honored to announce the engagement of their daughter, Charlie Marie Walker, to Clay Edward Conner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Conner of Stilson, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Walker of Brooklet and Mr. and Mrs. John Dye of Statesboro. Charlie graduated from Southeast Bulloch High School in 2006, attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) and is currently employed by The State of Georgia Department of Human Services.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Conner of Stilson and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mallard of Statesboro. Clay, a 2005 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School, is currently self-employed as the owner of Sand Creek Land Construction.
    The couple has planned to exchange vows on the twelfth of December, two thousand and nine, beginning at six o'clock in the evening. The ceremony will be held at Trinity Baptist Church in Nevils.
    All friends and family are invited to attend.
