A Statesboro man was killed Wednesday when he lost control of a four-wheeler and struck a tree.
According to preliminary reports by Georgia State Patrol Trooper First-Class B. Hendrix, 27-year-old Freddald Vabuen Brown, Blackberry Court, was driving a four-wheeler around 8 p.m. on Old River Road North Wednesday, about seven miles north of Statesboro, when he lost control as he negotiated a curve. Brown struck a tree and died.
Initial reports did not detail whether Brown was wearing a helmet.
