More than 250 high school students and 50 counselors/advisors from all over the region — including those from as far as Thomson, Lincolnton and Sandersville — were present to compete in more than 30 categories. Judges were from local industries and businesses or Ogeechee Technical College employees. This was the first time the event has been held at Ogeechee Technical College. The competition was for Skills USA region 6 — the largest Skills USA region in the state by number of counties.
