Three Bryan County High School students are dead and one remains in critical condition after a Wednesday morning crash near Warnell Curve on Ga. 119.
Sisters Heather Janel Arthur, 15; Melissa Faye Arthur, 17; as well as Laura C. Cobb, 16, all passengers in one of the two vehicles involved, were killed in the crash, which occurred around 8 a.m.
Tam Duc Le, 17, driving a red Chevrolet Cavalier, was airlifted by Life Star to Savannah's Memorial Health University Medical Center and is listed in critical condition, according to reports from the Bryan County Sheriff's Department, which investigated the crash.
According to reports, Le was driving south on Ga. 119 near the curve, and "apparently lost control of the vehicle, swerved across the center line and struck" a Ford pickup truck driven by Robin Wilkes, age unavailable, Ellabell.

The impact was "almost head-on," reports stated. Wilkes was transported to East Georgia Regional Medical Center for injuries, but no further information on her condition was available Wednesday.
Students at Bryan County High School were allowed to go home early Wednesday if they wished, and counselors were made available at both the high school and middle school to help students deal with the tragedy.
