Masked gunmen robbed a Nevils-area convenience store Monday night before escaping in a “dark colored car,” said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.
Around 10 p.m. Monday two black males wearing tee shirts over their faces entered the Time Saver #33 at the intersection of Ga. 46 and Ga. 67, waved a “small black handgun” and demanded cash from the store clerk, he said.
After getting the money the men fled, running around the back of the building, where they got into a dark colored car and left, he said.
The clerk was not injured during  the robbery.
Anderson said the armed robbery follows one April 28 at the Fast Stop convenience store in  the Grove Lakes subdivision, where three men entered the store, acting as if  they were shopping, he said.
Then, one suddenly darted behind the counter and pulled a gun, demanding cash from the clerk.
There was also an armed robbery in Brooklet April 29, at Brooklet Discount Grocery, he said.
Brooklet Police Chief Mike Buchan did not return phone calls Tuesday seeking comment regarding that incident.
Anderson asked anyone with information regarding any of the armed robbery incidents to contact Bulloch County Sheriff’s Inv. Walter Deal at (912) 764-1788 or  the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Department at 764-8888. All calls will remain confidential, he said.
