Mr. and Mrs. James Phillips of Folkston, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Alice Phillips of Athens, Ga., to Marc Gallant, son of Dr. Paul Gallant and Ms. Cathie Kinney.
The bride-elect received a BS of Science in Kinesiology from GSU and a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is employed by The Medical Center of Elberton, LLC, in Elberton, Ga. She is a member of Phi Mu Fraternity.
The groom-elect received a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in Health and Physical Education. He is employed as a physical education teacher at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Athens, Ga.
The couple has planned to wed on February 14, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. at The State Botanical Gardens of Georgia in Athens.
