A couple was arrested Tuesday afternoon after a woman complained they were acting suspiciously in the Hazlewood subdivision, and their refusal to cooperate with Bulloch County Sheriff's deputies led to charges, according to reports.
    Deputy Travis Tuenge responded to a woman's complaint of a man asking odd questions after following her home to a Hazlewood Drive residence.
    The complainant told Tuenge the man was driving a gray Buick, and when she got home he got out of his car, approached her and "asked if a man lived there," Tuenge said in his report.
    The man, whom the complainant did not know,  asked the woman "several times about a man or a husband and then told her he wanted to sell some cologne," he said.
    After the complainant told the man she was not interested in buying any cologne, the man then "asked for money, then drove away," Tuenge said.
    The woman gave the deputy a description of the man and the car he was driving, and he broadcast the description over the radio to other law enforcement officers in  the area, he said.
    "Within three or four minutes another deputy located the vehicle and a male driver at Time saver #79" on U.S. 301 South, he said.
    Deputies questioned the occupants of  the gray 1992 Buick Century and arrested James David Price, 33, Willow Lake Road, Cobbtown on charges of giving false identity to officers.
    They also arrested Angela Nicole Price, 30, Coolsprings Road, Metter, on obstruction charges, he said.
    The car was towed and deputies placed a hold on it until the owners can provide proof of valid insurance, reports said.
