Sheriff seeks information in suspicious incident

Two men, covering their faces, approached a woman cutting grass Saturday near Ivanhoe Road and Hwy. 119, asking for money, said Bulloch County Sheriff Noel Brown. Investigators are seeking information about the two men; both black males, one slender and one heavyset, he said. The men were driving a dark colored car, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu, that was parked on Ivanhoe Road while they approached the victim, he said. The woman said she was cutting grass around 7 p.m. Saturday when the men walked into her yard and started a conversation. She told Deputy Hunter Oglesby the men “basically asked her for money,” Brown said. “She told them she did not have any money and was only there cutting grass.” What was so suspicious is that the men “attempted to cover their faces with either a t-shirt or bandanna in efforts to conceal their identity,” he said. The men walked back to their car and left the area after the woman told them she had no money. Brown asks that anyone who may have seen the men and vehicle, or who can identify them, please contact Inv. William Sims at (912) 764-1744.
