Richmond Hill sweeps SHS

Greyson Surges' goal off the hands of Statesboro keeper Jake Lanier in the 67th minute gave Richmond Hill a 1-0 win over SHS Saturday afternoon at Womack Field in non-region play. Surges' shot from 22 yards out tailed away from Lanier who was able to get two hands on the ball, but the backspin on the kick carried the shot over Lanier's head where it trickled into the corner of the net.

Portal stays undefeated in region play

PORTAL - A moment of silence before the first pitch in remembrance of fallen Bryan County classmates who died in a car accident on Wednesday outside of Pembroke brought the Redskins (4-6, 1-2) onto the diamond with heavy hearts, and the Portal Panthers (7-5, 4-0) were able to increase their perfect region 3-A record to 4-0.

Rivalry heats up as SHS-SEB play to draw

BROOKLET - The Southeast Bulloch Lady Yellow Jackets (7-3-2) had their minds set on revenge after suffering a 4-0 loss to the Statesboro Lady Blue Devils (3-4-2) earlier this season, and while the Devils had their chances to score, Yellow Jacket keeper Kacey Jones and the determined SEB defense were able to preserve the shutout as the Thursday night match ended in a 0-0 draw.
