BA faces Frederica in region showdown

There are still three region games left for the Bulloch Academy Gators, but a region title is within their grasp. Knocking off Edmund Burke in their region opener last week 17-0 was the first hurdle. Now comes a trip to St. Simons and a showdown with the Fredrica Knights.

Devils make it two in a row

Statesboro High head coach Jeff Kaiser had two reasons to be proud Friday night. First, his Blue Devil football team notched their second straight win of the season by a count of 27-6 over Tattnall County. Secondly, his halftime escort, daughter and TCHS student Kasey, was crowned homecoming queen.

ECI pummels Portal

Though Emanuel County has owned the series with Portal the past 6 years, Panthers fans saw a glimmer of a chance in the pregame after ECI's second half meltdown last week at Swainsboro.
