Metter's Nagel UGA bound

Pete Nagel signs a letter of intent to play baseball for the University of Georgia. As Metter's ace pitcher, Nagel has been a dominant force on the mound throughout his high school career. "It's a big thrill to be going to Georgia," said Nagel. "You see the talent of the SEC, and it's great to think that they want me to play for them. It'll be a lot of fun to play against the LSU's and South Carolina's of the world."

MHS'S Allen inks with GSU

Lexi Allen signs a letter of intent to play softball for Georgia Southern next season. A four year starter, Allen earned All-Region 3-A honors in each of the last three seasons. "This is like a dream come true," said Allen. "I've been playing softball since I was 10 and I'm grateful for the opportunity to keep playing. I've got a lot of friends and family who have helped me get here, so I'm glad that I can stay near home and have them continue to come cheer me on."
