The Statesboro High School Blue Devils, the 2011 Region 2-AAAA football champion, had a number of players named to the all-region team. Offensive players selected were Marshuan Jackson, Herman Lee, Freddie Burden, Rahkym Thomas, Reid Pennington and Michael Summers. Defensive players selected were Shaq Johnson, Lenard Robinson, Reggie Owens and Haydon Rollins. In addition to all-region honors, Burden was also selected to the all-state team.
