5 Statesboro players ink scholarships

Five Statesboro Blue Devils signed college scholarships on Monday at Statesboro High. Pictured left to right: Asia Crawford, Destinee Lanier, Andreas Ward, athletic director Ken LeCain, DeGamarri Matthews, and Walker Paul Tedders celebrate the five student athletes' announcing their college decisions Monday afternoon. Soccer players Crawford and Lanier will play at South Georgia College and USC-Shalkehatchie, respectively. Ward will run track for Georgia Tech and both Matthews and Tedders will take the soccer pitch for Middle Georgia.
