GREENSBORO, N.C. -Georgia Southern's drive for a third-straight Southern Conference softball tournament championship came to an end on Friday afternoon with an 11-2 loss to UNC Greensboro. Purvis no-hits Elon at SoCon tourney

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Georgia Southern opened the 2014 SoCon Tournament with an historical 4-0 win over Elon. Sarah Purvis cemented her name in SoCon lore with the first no-hitter in tournament history. The three-time SoCon Pitcher of the Year fanned 13 batters on the day as the Eagles advance to the tournament's second day in the winner's bracket. The Eagles face Samford today at 4:30 p.m.
