Strange odor leads to 2 meth arrests

An unusual odor in the air Monday led a Register resident to call Bulloch County Sheriff's deputies, who discovered a meth lab - and two men suspected of making methamphetamine - in a barn.

State gives charter schools reprieve

Averitt Center opens 'Calm and Clamor' exhibit

The Averitt Center for the Arts' "Calm and Clamor" exhibit will open in the main gallery on July 1. The exhibit will feature the paintings of Christopher Paul and the sculptures of Duke Oursler. Both artists address similar concepts but in very different media.
