850 Special Olympians compete in Statesboro

More than 850 athletes came out for the Special Olympics Area 13 Summer Games Friday at Georgia Southern University's Track Soccer complex. Area 13 is made up of 12 counties, including Bulloch, Candler and Evans.

Ogeechee Tech graduates celebrate at Commencement

Hundreds of Ogeechee Technical College students received diplomas Thursday night during OTC's annual Commencement exercises inside Hanner Fieldhouse on the campus of Georgia Southern University. Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel offered the keynote address, urging the graduates to use their education to better their own lives and the lives of everyone in their community and state.
