In memory of GBI Inspector Johnny McGlamery

The Georgia State Patrol Honor Guard presented the colors during the dedication ceremony for the new Georgia Bureau of Investigation Region 5 Office to the memory of GBI Inspector Johnny McGlamery Wednesday. McGlamery, a native of Statesboro, retired in December of 1987 as an inspector with the GBI after serving 31 years in state law enforcement. McGlamery was a graduate of Georgia Southern University and of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy Program.

As expected, DeWayne Grice announced Monday morning his intention to run for Statesboro mayor. Grice, who co-owns Lori Grice Photography in downtown Statesboro, made the announcement on the "Mornings unPHILtered" Web and radio program. The show is broadcast live at 9 a.m. on BoroLive.com and simulcast on WWNS-AM 1240 radio.
