Following a drug raid in the Metter area last week, the Federal Bureau of Investigations announced the arrests of 21 more on drug charges. Agents expect further arrests in connection with the investigation, said FBI spokesman Edward W. Reinhold.

Cypres Lake fire investigators looking at 'person of interest'

Investigators say they have identified a "person of interest" in a fire that destroyed 260 acres of a dry lake bed earlier this month. Though no charges were filed in the Cypress Lake fire, a Register man was charged with a misdemeanor for " setting a fire within feet of suppression efforts" by firefighters battling the blaze.
