GSU’s Bleicken to lead Armstrong

Linda M. Bleicken, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Georgia Southern University, was named president of Armstrong Atlantic State. The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia made the announcement Tuesday.

Car show benefits ailing Metter boy

Walter "Bo" Miller is a 10-year-old boy from Metter. In most ways, Bo is your typical 10-year-old. He lives with mother Joelle and 11-year-old sister Kayla. He loves to run around and play. But Bo has a rare kidney disorder. He was diagnosed with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis when he was 1.
