Sculptor's exhibit part of Averitt Center's Legends Series

Sculptor Marc Moulton will lead the 2007-08 Legends Series with an exhibition at the Averitt Center beginning Friday, Aug. 3. A reception for the artist will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. during downtown Statesboro's First Friday.

GSU gets $25,000 AT&T grant

The AT&T Foundation, the charitable philanthropy organization of AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), recently awarded Georgia Southern University a $25,000 environmental research grant and designated Dr. Wei Tu an AT&T Faculty Fellow in Industrial Ecology. He is one of only three academic researchers selected to receive funding from the 2006 competitive grants program.

Students set new record numbers for summer 2007 classes at GSU

A record number of students attended summer session classes at Georgia Southern University in 2007 as nearly 1,000 additional students opted to enroll in more than 950 courses offered over the last two months. Final summer statistics show that the record number 8,830 students enrolled for a record number 59,085 credit hours, a 12.7 percent increase in students and 13.3 percent increase in credit hours from the same time period in 2006.
