Lutheran Church volunteers aid students

Volunteers at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Statesboro helped box up school supplies for area schools Sunday afternoon at the church. Members of the church and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans donated supplies to each area public school to help needy children. Classes at Bulloch County public schools begin Wednesday for the 2007-2008 school year.

SHS ready to open

While construction of both the new high school and adjacent roads and parking lots may seem like a mess, parents of Statesboro High School students need not worry. School will open Wednesday and classes will be uninterrupted, school officials say.
