Fire rates may fall

The formation of the Bulloch County Fire Department and its subsequent construction of fire substations throughout the county have paid off. For most Bulloch County residents, the ISO (Insurance Services Office) ratings was lowered, effective Saturday, May 1, to Class 5, said Bulloch County Fire Chief Randy Walker.

Authorities find missing truck, body inside

The white Nissan Frontier belonging to missing Armstrong Atlantic State University student Bryce Daniel Tarter was pulled from a marsh creek near the university Tuesday. A body found in the truck has not yet been identified, according to information from a Facebook page set up through efforts to find the 19-year-old.
