Bulloch 911 operators to be honored

Bulloch County 911 operators, along with communications officers across the nation, will be recognized this week, which is National Public Safety Telecommunications Week. Each year this week is set aside to honor men and women who serve as public safety operators.

Forestry field day held in Bulloch Thursday

A forestry field day competition hosted by the local Georgia Forestry Commission was held Thursday on the grounds of the Bulloch County Horseman's Association facility. About 120 area students were practicing for the State Forestry Competition to be held on April 17 at George L. Smith State Park.

Jean Mathews presents OTC with $100,000 in honor of her late husband

Ogeechee Technical College's 2008 record setting fundraising campaign, iGot, collected more than $313,000 for the school in March. Included in that total was a $100,000 gift by a family that had decided to remain anonymous until they decided what special project or scholarship they would fund.
