Police search for armed robbery suspects

Motorcycles deliver toys, Santa Claus to Statesboro Mall

For the fourth year in a row, the Statesboro chapter of Gold Wing Road Riders Association and Southern Thunder Cruisers teamed up for "Santa's Toy Run." Dozens of motorcycles made their way through downtown Statesboro to deliver toys to the Statesboro Mall Saturday afternoon. The Department of Family and Children Services collected the toys and they will be distributed to those less fortunate this holiday season.

Club Mud Winter Exhibition starts Thursday

Georgia Southern University's 23rd Annual Club Mud Winter Exhibition and Sale will take place Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 29-Dec.1, in the Ceramics and Sculpture Studio at 236 Forest Drive on the Statesboro campus. City Council passes first Flying J agreement

The Statesboro City Council unanimously voted Tuesday to enter into an agreement toward extending water and sewer lines out to the intersection of Highway 301 South and Interstate 16. The infrastructure, which would facilitate the construction of a new Flying J truck stop project, would open up development along the entire corridor of Highway 301 south of the Gateway Industrial Park.

Travis Chance determined winner in District 5 race, beats John Morris 413-369

Travis Chance, Will Britt and Gary Lewis can now officially be declared the winners in the city council election now that the challenges have been added to the totals from election day. The officials were finally able to count the challenged ballots since the Statesboro Citizens for Good Government withdrew the challenges Wednesday afternoon.
