OTC names GOAL student

Laura "Molly" Bickerton, a radiologic technology student at Ogeechee Technical College, was named local winner of the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) at a luncheon held Monday at Ogeechee Tech. The announcement was made by Dr. Dawn Cartee, president of Ogeechee Tech.

Locals remember 'Mr. Paul' Nessmith

Former Georgia Rep. and Bulloch County native Paul E. Nessmith is remembered by friends as a dedicated man who stood up for agriculture during his years in legislature. Nessmith, 99, died Wednesday under hospice care at his home in the Westside community.

iGot a record setting campaign; anonymous donor gives $100,000

Ogeechee Technical College announced Thursday that their annual fund raising effort, iGot, raised $313,558 during a record setting campaign. Included in that total was a $100,000 gift by a family who chose to remain anonymous until they decide what special project or scholarship they would fund.
