Two men robbed a local fast food restaurant just after midnight early Monday morning and took money from an employee counting the night's deposit.
The Main Street Farmers' Market will offer folks one more chance to shop for locally grown foods before their market season comes to an end. The parking lot of the downtown Sea Island Bank will, once again, be the sight of the Market. It is set for Tuesday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A police standoff ended peaceably Thursday around 6 p.m. when a man eluding arrest gave himself up to police at his mother's request.
Statesboro Police don't think three armed robbery incidents this week are related, but warn citizens that the holiday season also brings the crime season, with an increase in robberies, burglaries and other crimes.
Lines won't be likely today as some voters get in early to cast ballots for the run off elections. Bulloch County Probate Judge Lee DeLoach said he only expects about 15 percent of the county's voters to show up at the polls.
When it's all said and done, the Georgia Southern University Festival of Trees hopes to raise $3,000 for the local Toys for Tots campaign.
With holidays upon us, the Statesboro Food Bank is facing the same kind of dilemma the economy is casting on everyone. With fewer supplies and an increase in demand, the local food bank board is facing possible cutbacks in how many times a person can receive a week's worth of balanced meals per year.

A woman suffered slashes to her hands when her girlfriend attacked her with a steak knife, and the offender was taken to jail, according to Bulloch County Sheriff's reports.
