Whether it's the final touches of the new Statesboro High School, wing extensions at Langston Chapel and Southeast Bulloch middle schools, a new wing at Brooklet Elementary or plans being drawn up for the new Portal Middle High School, workers are continuing their tasks while the classrooms are empty.

GILMER, Texas - Broad areas of grazing land at Pete Gipson's farm have plow-like scars. But it wasn't an out-of-control mechanical device that left disjointed ruts and holes.
Two brothers – both U.S. Army, both lieutenant colonels – have visited Camp Stryker in South Baghdad, Iraq. One was a brigade chaplain. The other is a brigade commander. In 2004, one lived in a tent; the other now stays in a trailer. In 2004, the violence was just starting to increase. In 2008, the violence is starting to lessen.
More than 75 alleged violations of Statesboro's Alcoholic Beverages Ordinance, from July 2011 through August 2013, never went before City Council for hearings on the businesses' alcohol licenses. Overlapping that total, 42 alcohol-related citations police issued against individuals in July 2011 were dropped by City Hall officials and never tried in Municipal Court.
