A man walked into an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting Saturday morning and began firing a semiautomatic handgun as people fled. No one was injured in the shooting, but two bullets damaged nearby vehicles.
A Claxton man was killed early Sunday evening when he lost control of his car and it overturned. According to Georgia State Patrol reports, Edward Guadalupe Ceballos, 28, Claxton, was driving on Mosley road six miles east of Claxton when his vehicle left the roadway. He appeared to have over corrected, and traveled across the roadway before overturning several times. Ceballos was partially ejected from the vehicle and died as a result of his injuries, reports stated.
