GSU, Willingway partner to create addiction center

The month of April was designated Alcohol Awareness Month by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration since 1987 in order to call awareness to alcohol abuse as a treatable disease. That designation takes on greater meaning at Georgia Southern University as the Task Force for the Center for Addiction Recovery continues to develop its focus.

What started as an effort to improve his performance in turkey hunting has led Brooklet's Kerry Terrell to the big time. After 16 years of competing in turkey calling contests, Terrell placed first in the 2008 Wild Turkey Bourbon/National Wild Turkey Federation Grand National Calling Championships, Rare Breed Champion of Champions competition in Atlanta.
