Bulloch County election officials predict a 79 percent local turnout when all ballots are counted on Election Day 2008 and local leaders of both the Democratic and Republican parties believe Bulloch and Georgia will maintain its recent tradition of voting more on the Republican side. Opinions, however, differ when they talk about the presidential race on a national level.

With only two days left for advance voting, 6,694 people have voted in Bulloch County, as of 3 p.m. Wednesday, making this the most successful early voting campaign since the concept began.
Cooperative efforts between city and county law enforcement netted 11 drug arrests Wednesday, with 11 more expected, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.
Over 100 participated in the 2014 Zombie Run 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, October 25 to help raise funds for local health organizations, including the Bulloch Partnership for Health, the Georgia Southern University Rural Health Research Institute, the Mercer University Center for Rural Health and Health Disparities, and the Georgia Southern University Wellness Program.
