Statesboro Police are investigating a reported rape that occurred April 3, said Statesboro Police Capt. Scott Brunson.
It was shearing day at the Brannen farm off Old Register Road Wednesday as more than 20 alpacas were relieved of their winter coats. Two professional alpaca shearers from Arizona spent most of the day cutting the fleece from the llama-like animals. The alpacas also received vaccinations and had their nails trimmed.
