Southeast Bulloch's JROTC program honored for excellence

Major Thomas McElwee and 1st Sgt. Roy Whitfield started the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps program at Southeast Bulloch High School in 1993. And since then, the SEB Cadets have won the Army's top JROTC unit honor, "Honor Unit With Distinction, Gold Star Award" every year, including earning the distinction again in 2010.

Eye care at the Hearts and Hands Clinic

An eye clinic is being held at the Sons of Light Fellowship Baptist Church, which houses the Hearts and Hands Clinic. Eye services will be available at the Hearts and Hands Clinic every other month. Sex offender charged with sexual battery

A registered sex offender was arrested Saturday after a woman said he grabbed her inappropriately. Bulloch County Sheriff's deputies arrested Deontray Antwone Lewis, 29, of Lundy Trailer Park, on charges of sexual battery.
