Dance student heading to NYC

When Abigail Harris began high school, she was a quiet girl secretly dreaming of Broadway. Today, Harris now knows she'll see the bright lights of the big city every day. She was accepted recently to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan, where she plans to study musical theater.

‘High School Musical 3’ Camp

About 65 area elementary school students are attending "High School Musical 3" camp this week at the Averitt Center for the Arts. Operated by local producer and director Tony Phillips and Sherri Thompson, campers will perform "Highlights from High School Musical 3" inside the Emma Kelly Theater at 11 a.m. on Friday.
