PORTAL - Mario Farris sank a pair of free throws with 6.3 seconds to go to put the Portal Panthers (19-1, 10-0 Region 3-A) up by three and force Savannah Country Day to attempt a desperation 3-pointer as time ran out to maintain their unbeaten region record and take home a 61-58 win against the Hornets Saturday.

BROOKLET - The Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets (8-10) were off from behind the arc in the first half, but the play underneath was enough to compensate as SEB cruised to an 85-66 victory over visiting Jenkins County Tuesday.

METTER - The Metter Tigers (4-13) fell behind early when the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets (7-10, 3-6 Region 3-AA) jumped out to a 10-0 lead to start the game, and that proved to be the difference in Saturday's 57-48 SEB region-road win.
