PORTAL - After struggling through the 2006 season, the Portal Lady Panthers turned things around in 2007, putting together a 7-5 record in Region 3-A under first-year coach Shannon Davis.
BROOKLET - The Southeast Bulloch Lady Yellow Jackets have one of the most dominant pitchers in the state in senior Megan Barnwell, a string of trips to the Elite Eight of the GHSA Class AA State Playoffs, and having lost only two seniors from 2007's 21-8 (14-3, Region 3-AA) squad, they look to keep up the momentum.
And this time around, there's one roadblock they hope to pass.

It may be summertime, but that's no reason why the fields on the banks of Beautiful Eagle Creek should be without a little football.
Screven County is as far along in the playoffs as anyone can remember.
SYLVANIA - It seems that for the Screven County Gamecocks, the keys to winning in the playoffs are tight defense, well-conditioned pitching and six-run innings.
