Crowd swarms Mill Creek to enjoy Firecracker Fest

Thousands made the trip to Mill Creek Regional Park Wednesday to celebrate the Fourth of July at the annual Firecracker Fest. As the day came to a close, people rushed to stake claim of the best spots to watch the fireworks. Thunderous and brilliant, the pyrotechnics lit up the sky over people in chairs, in truck beds and on blankets. For more photos of Fourth of July events, see Sunday's Lifestyles section.
