Wet opening at Splash in the Boro

Gray skies and intermittent rain storms didn't deter hard core water fanatics during opening day at the aquatic park inside Mill Creek Park. Splash is open today from noon to 6 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for its sneak preview Memorial Day weekend.

Audio Slideshow: Swing into Spring kicks off baseball season for youngsters

The Statesboro Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department kicked off baseball season with their Swing into Spring celebration Friday despite threatening weather. A slight drizzle in the afternoon had many wondering if the event would be cancelled altogether, but the rain ceased minutes before opening pitches and it was business as usual for the annual event.
