Report: Suspect confronted during burglary

A man caught stealing an air conditioner and other items was charged with aggravated assault after he pulled a screwdriver on a witness and the homeowner, but from his Bulloch County Jail mug shot, it appears the victims also threw a few punches.

Statesboro Police are investigating a home invasion armed robbery that took place tonight around 6 p.m. at Stadium Walk Apartments. The love is still alive

Connie Sacks glows as she speaks of her husband, Max Sacks. A former soldier, Sacks was a contract tactical medical instructor with a government agency working in Afghanistan. On July 29, a little more than two months ago, the Taliban ambushed a convoy Max Sacks was traveling with. After helping get his crew to safety, he died from his injuries.
