Strong arm robbery in Portal

Two Portal area victims reported being assaulted and robbed Sunday evening, and responding Bulloch County Sheriff's deputies arrested two suspects on robbery and battery charges, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.

Statesboro Police are still seeking a woman they say was involved in an armed robbery last week. Tymesha Sharneice "Savage Doll" Hamilton, 24, Leefield Station Road in Brooklet, is considered "armed and dangerous," said Statesboro Police Capt. Scott P. Brunson.

Teen to be tried as an adult in molestation case

A 16-year-old boy charged with molesting a 5-year-old girl was charged and will be tried as an adult, according to Georgia law. An 11-year-old boy also charged in the incident will be tried as a juvenile, said Statesboro Police Capt. Scott P. Brunson.

Three arrests in local credit union heists

A teller employed by Geovista Credit Union was arrested Wednesday after Statesboro Police detectives learned he was involved in Tuesday's armed robbery of the South Main Street bank. Police also arrested a third man Thursday in connection to the armed robbery; one man was taken into custody Tuesday. Officers also seek a woman they suspect drove a getaway car.

2 charged in Bulloch homicide

Bulloch County Sheriff's investigators charged a woman and her mother with murder, taking the mother into custody Wednesday and then launching a hunt that ended Thursday for the daughter, both accused of shooting a 26-year-old Sylvania man.
