Man charged for alleged sex with teen

A man accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old Portal girl was arrested this week, along with the teen herself, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.

Reward increased for info on murder

Georgia Bureau of Investigation special agents hope an increase of reward money will prompt citizens in the know to help solve November, 2010 murder of Harrison Wayne Olliff. The reward is now $10,000, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.

Riverkeeper sues EPD over fish kill spill

The Ogeechee Riverkeeper organization filed a lawsuit Friday against the Georgia Environmental Protection Division. The suit claims EPD failed to protect citizens and honor their right to have input on a recent consent order against a textiles plant blamed for a massive fish kill.

The thrill of the ride

Speed, thrills, flashing lights and lots of motion brought screams, laughter and a few green faces Friday night as the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair enjoyed its 50th aniversary. The scene was a far cry from the first Fairs in Bulloch County; instead of a few small thrill rides, the midway is crammed with dozens of large thrill rides, exciting kiddie rides and rows upon rows of games of chance.
