GSU Police join search for missing Savannah student

County Commissioner George Jackson passes

Bulloch County Commissioner and retired Georgia State Patrol Sergeant George T. Jackson, 57, died Sunday in Augusta due to complications stemming from a long illness. Friends and associates mourned Monday as they recalled his kindness, fairness and integrity.

More rain on the way

Everywhere you look, water is standing. Ditches overflow, pond banks are nonexistent, and some of Bulloch County's dirt roads are impassable. The El Nino weather pattern has made its presence known by the unusually excessive rainfall lately that has saturated the ground.
