Statesboro Noon Lions Club to join with other clubs state wide

The Statesboro Noon Lions Club will join 250 other Lions organizations statewide Saturday, Jan. 13 to celebrate Lions of Georgia Day. On this day, local Lions Clubs will conduct special projects all across the state from the sales of brooms and mops to diabetes awareness and sight screenings.

Two teens taken into custody after robbery

Statesboro Police, responding to a call from Bulloch County Central 911, met with a man who said two juveniles robbed him of $14 and a cell phone. Within minutes Advanced Patrol Officer John Jones took the two juveniles into custody, charging them with strong arm robbery, battery, false imprisonment and unruly juvenile before taking them to jail.

Three area churches burglarized

Bulloch County Sheriff's investigators are teaming up with officers from other counties to solve a rash of church burglaries in Southeast Georgia. Three area churches were victimized recently, said Bulloch County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Gene McDaniel.
