Mornings unPHILtered - Furlough week at GSU

The first guest on Monday's "Mornings unPHILtered" show was Dr. Ron Shiffler, the Dean of GSU's College of Business Administration. Host Phil Boyum and Shiffler discussed how the staff of virtually the entire University System of Georgia is being furloughed for three days this week in order to meet budget reductions of 8 percent, with 5 percent being met through the savings engendered by the furloughs.

Thanksgiving at Willingway

A recent patient of Willingway Hospital who resides in California sent the Dietary Staff a box of fine candies with a thank you note enclosed. It read, "Hello everyone. Thank you for the yummy food you prepared with so much care every day. I got so spoiled! I have learned how to eat grits the proper way. And all the breakfasts, lunches, dinners and desserts were always an extra treat every day. You brought an extra touch of happiness to my day. God bless!" Marie
