Holiday Festival of Trees begins Monday

The community is invited to the Festival of Trees, Georgia Southern University's new holiday celebration that begins Monday. A week-long wonderland of decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses is put on by the Continuing Education Center in the Nessmith-Lane Continuing Education Building.

Gasoline prices continue to plunge

HOUSTON - Retail gasoline prices dipped for a 17th week since July 4, falling below $2 a gallon in a number of states and approaching $1.50 at some service stations. The price of crude fell again too, hitting a 20-month low.
