Police Report - 6-21-14; A deputy found a small child walking alone along the highway.

STATESBORO POLICE DEPARTMENT
➤ Arrests
    ▲ Rebecca Diane Waters, 34, Rebecca Road – suspended license, expired tag.
    ▲ Brittney Barton, 23, Georgia Avenue – DUI, obstruction.
    ▲ Shala Deonna Marshall, 38, South Gordon Street – speeding, suspended license.

➤ Incidents
    ▲ PARK PLACE APARTMENTS – A woman told police around 12:30 a.m. Friday that several females entered her home and physically attacked her.
    ▲ THOMAS STREET – Police responded to a reported fight around 11 p.m. Thursday. A woman said the mother of her boyfriend’s children attacked her with a baseball bat at his home. However, witnesses, including her boyfriend, told officers the girlfriend started the fight with the children’s mother, and that there were no baseball bats involved.
    ▲ STATESBORO SEAFOOD – A man reported around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday that an attempted scam where a caller claimed to be a Georgia Power representative. The caller demanded he pay almost $500 by placing the amount on a prepaid debit card. He didn’t comply, but called police.
    ▲ MORRIS STREET – A man told police around 7 p.m. Thursday that he was trying to break up a fight between two women when one cut him on the arm with a nail file.
    ▲ MADISON MEADOWS – A woman reported the theft of a red 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier around 6:50 p.m. Wednesday.

➤ Arrests
    ▲ Dustin James Lee, 17, Middleground Road – racing, reckless driving.
    ▲ Wyatt Tyler Morris, 17, Mud Road, Brooklet – racing, reckless driving.
    ▲ Corey Deshawn White, 35, Edwina Drive – suspended license, possession of a drug-related object, wanted person.
    ▲ Freeman Day Jordan, 24, Fair Road – possession of a drug-related object.

➤ Incidents
    ▲ THE BARN MOBILE HOME PARK – A deputy found a small child walking alone along the highway around 9 a.m. Thursday. The child was returned to the mother after a brief investigation.
    In a separate incident around 10 a.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to a reported fight between two men. One broke a beer bottle and used it as a weapon, a man said.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY POLICE
➤ Arrests
    ▲ John Thomas Pulley, 23, Ponderosa Pine Boulevard – obstruction.
 
➤ Incidents
    ▲ Officers issued three traffic citations and two traffic warnings and assisted one motorist Thursday.
    ▲ J-LOT – Officers discovered persons dragging a tree limb through J-Lot around 1:30 a.m. Friday. One man was arrested and charged with obstruction.
