A Screven County man charged with inappropriate contact with a juvenile via computer was released on bond last week.

According to records from the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office, Troy Bohannon, 45, of Newington Highway in Sylvania, went before Superior Court Judge John R. Turner in Bulloch County June 12 for a bond hearing after his arrest June 6 in Screven County.

While prosecution opposed bond, Turner granted Bohannon a $20,000 bond and he was released from the Screven County Jail.

Bohannon was arrested after the Screven County Sheriff's Office received a complaint about inappropriate and illegal activity via computer involving children, according to jail records.

Screven County sheriff's Investigator Bill Crockett, assisted by Investigator Brett Dickerson, investigated the case.

Bohannon awaits further court hearings regarding the charge has not yet been set. The Screven County Sheriff's Office did not disclose additional details about the incident and arrest.
