Sharri Edenfield of Edenfield, Cox, Bruce & Classens, P.C., in Statesboro was installed as the 68th president of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia on June 6 during the organization's annual meeting. She was sworn in by her uncle, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia Judge B. Avant Edenfield.
Edenfield maintains a general practice with an emphasis on litigating business/contract disputes as well as product liability, personal injury, medical malpractice and environmental law claims.
She is a graduate of the University of Georgia and earned her law degree at the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University.         She said she is proud to continue her family's tradition of being actively involved in the State Bar of Georgia as her father and law partner, Gerald Edenfield, served as the 45th president of the State Bar in 2007-08. She said she is also proud to continue her family's tradition of practicing law in Bulloch County, where an Edenfield has practiced law since 1958.
