    ▲ Charlainia Shayvon Varner, 21, Clearwater Lane, Savannah — failure to appear in court.
    ▲ William Whittenberg, 23, Pearson Drive, Hartwell — marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession.
    ▲ Dexter Durrell Harden Jr., 25, Willow Bend Apartments — wanted person.

➤ Incidents
    ▲ EAST PARRISH STREET — Police investigated a suspected arson around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
    ▲ NORTH COLLEGE STREET — Police responded around 2:45 p.m. Thursday to a call about a juvenile who wears an ankle monitor “aggravating” a sibling and throwing things outside the home.
    ▲ WAL-MART — A woman was arrested around 1 p.m. Thursday for shoplifting and marijuana possession.

    ▲ Cedric Dejon Coleman, 31,  U.S. Highway 80 East — simple battery.
    ▲ Joshua Vernon Winge, 17, Tillman Pond Road — statutory rape, contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
    ▲ David Howard Free, 37, West Leyland Road — aggravated assault, second-degree cruelty to children, battery.
    ▲ Karin Vonn Free, 46, West Leyland Road — simple battery.
    ▲ Jamaine Jatavious Torrence, 19, Morris Street — suspended license.
    ▲ Joey Ray Cribbs, 22, U.S. Highway 80 East, Brooklet — aggravated assault.

➤ Incidents
    ▲ U.S. HIGHWAY 80 EAST — A deputy responded around 6 p.m. Thursday to a call about a mentally ill subject pointing a gun at family members and threatening them with harm.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY POLICE

    ▲ None reported Thursday.

➤ Incidents
    ▲ Officers issued five traffic citations and four traffic warnings and assisted one motorist Thursday.
