Police Report - 6-7-14; a man was arrested for drinking gun cleaner, “huffing” from an aerosol can.

    ▲ ELLIS MEATS — Wednesday around 9 a.m. a woman told police another female with whom she has a history of conflict (due to having children by the same man) blocked her vehicle and knocked on her window, yelling at her.
    ▲ WALMART — Wednesday around 3:45 p.m., a man was arrested for drinking gun cleaner and “huffing” from an aerosol can in the sporting goods department.
    ▲ SHELBY STREET — Thursday around 6:45 p.m. a four-wheeler reported stolen from a Clito area residence was located in the woods after a caller reported the situation as being suspicious.

    ▲ LAKE COLLINS ROAD — (Portal) Thursday around 1 p.m. a Georgia State Patrol trooper reported a wheat field on fire. A witness said a tractor was in the area harvesting, but the victim who leases the field said there was no one there and he suspects the fire was set intentionally.
    ▲ T.H. LEE ROAD — (Clito) Around 2 p.m. Thursday a man reported a four-wheeler stolen. It was recovered in Statesboro.
    ▲ WESTSIDE ROAD — (Statesboro) Friday around 4:15 a.m., a woman called the sheriff’s department because her teenage daughter, who had just come home from jail on marijuana charges, got into a fight with her over a cell phone. She tried taking  the phone from the girl, who jumped on her, grabbed her hair and bit her until one of the offender’s sisters awakened. She then followed her mother, who went to dial 911, and bit her on the hand to make her let go of the cell phone.
