Police Report - 5-24-14; A man told police he received a fraudulent check.

    ▲ Charles Jerome Jones, 42, Institute Street — obstructing persons making emergency phone calls.
    ▲ Charlie Lee Thomas, 66, West Grady Street — tag light violation, possession of drug paraphernalia, license violation, refusal to sign a citation, marijuana possession.
    ▲ Dylan David Sapp, 19, Old Savannah Road, Metter — theft  by shoplifting.
    ▲ Zachary Scott Fondren, 17, South Leroy Street, Metter — theft by shoplifting.
    ▲ Courtney Davon Perkins, 25, Swallowtail Drive — giving false information.
    ▲ Dusty Ray Roberson, 25, O’Brien Road, Pearson, Ga. — public intoxication, disorderly conduct.

➤ Incidents
    ▲ FAIR ROAD — A man told police around 5 p.m. Thursday that he received a fraudulent check, deposited it, sent money to the offender and discovered the check he deposited was fake. Also, he never received the items he was supposed to be getting from the deal.
    ▲ WAFFLE HOUSE — (South Main Street) A man became angry and verbally abusive after an officer awoke him around 3 a.m. Thursday,  from his “nap” on the bathroom floor, where the man apparently passed out. He was arrested for his behavior and being drunk in public.
