Police Report - 5-9-14; Officers responded to a complaint of a dog in a vehicle in the sun.

▲ Lacandis Starkea Brown, 20, Lanier Drive — DUI under 21.

▲ GROOVER STREET — A man told police around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday that two checks were stolen, forged and cashed by two separate people who used to live next door to him.
▲ EAGLE INN — A man told police around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday that two offenders called him nonstop, every hour on the hour, to harass him.
▲ GARDEN DISTRICT APARTMENTS — A woman told police around 1 p.m. Wednesday that a man became mad when she told him to leave and damaged her TV before “slinging” her to the ground.

▲ James Dylan Bragg, 22, Prather Road — probation violation.
▲ Clarence Bernard Chambers, 33, Pecan Grove, Portal — disorderly conduct.
▲ Amanda Michelle Gwaltney, 32, Pecan Grove, Portal — public intoxication.
▲ Felicia Michelle Smith, 26, Butler Street — probation violation.
▲ Benjamin Tommy Counts, 35, no street address listed, Sylvania — suspended license.

➤ Incidents
▲ PECAN GROVE — (Portal)  A woman told deputies around 10 p.m. Tuesday that an elderly woman punched her in the face during an argument. Deputies arrested her for public intoxication, and while on the way to the jail, got a call about another domestic disturbance at the residence. The complainant’s boyfriend was upset about her being arrested and argued with the elderly female at the home. He was arrested for disorderly conduct.
▲ GEORGIA HIGHWAY 46 — (Pembroke) A man complained to deputies Monday that people were riding four-wheelers in his planted fields, damaging crops.
▲ SEE PINES APARTMENTS — (Statesboro) Deputies spoke around 10 p.m. Tuesday with a man who said a neighbor was walking around with a knife, threatening him and his family. The neighbor told deputies that the other man had knocked on his door, had a pair of brass knuckles, and challenged him to a fight. He said he did yell and threaten the other man after grabbing a pocket knife for defense. He said the complainant had been drinking all day and harassing his family.

▲ Kristianna Sybil Dickerson, 18, Georgia Avenue — underage possession of alcohol.

▲ Officers issued one traffic warning and assisted one motorist Wednesday.
▲ C/J LOT — Officers responded to a report of a tree on fire around 3:26 p.m. Wednesday. However, no fire was located.
▲ LOT 42 — Officers responded to a complaint of a dog in a vehicle in the sun around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle was moved to a shady location. 
▲ SIGMA NU HOUSE — Officers arrested an intoxicated subject around 10:22 p.m. Wednesday and judicially referred three other subjects to university officials for punishment.
