➤  Incidents
▲ RUSTY’S TAVERN — Police met with two men who said they were attacked after being kicked out of the bar around 1 a.m. Sunday. They said five or six men physically attacked them, but witnesses said the two were disruptive and started throwing trash cans before fighting with bystanders.
▲ HUNGRY HOWIE’S — A man told police around 8 p.m. Saturday that a caller, who identified himself as a Richmond Hill police officer, asked for phone numbers of people who had recently used credit cards at the business. The restaurant employee gave the caller four numbers, but when a customer called later to inquire about the matter and why he had been called, the employee realized it was a scam and notified police, as well as the other three persons whose numbers he gave the caller.
▲ CAMBRIDGE AT SOUTHERN — A man missed a turn and drove onto the sidewalk around 11:15 p.m. Friday. He didn’t want to damage his vehicle’s body kit by driving off the sidewalk, so he drove across a lawn and became bogged down.
▲ DON CORLEONE’S — A manager told police that a caller identifying himself as a police officer asked for names and numbers of people who used credit cards over the past few days. The caller said he was investigating fraudulent credit card charges.
▲ EAST PARRISH STREET — A woman called police around 1 a.m. Saturday because of an argument between her and her husband. She saw a woman in his car and accused him of cheating.
▲ THE FORUM — A man told police around 12:20 p.m. Friday that he received a Facebook message from a woman who promised to make him money. She was supposed to illegally “add a zero” to a preloaded money card on which he put $300, making it $3,000, but instead she took the $300 off the card and kept it.
▲ WALMART — A man was arrested for shoplifting clothes, a stereo, a coloring book and crayons, and Disney toy cars around 4 p.m. Friday.
